I just cut these logs right before the pics. One pile with the purple centers I believe is some species of pine I can smell it. The tree was uprooted and had many close together dead branches on it a little challenging to snap off also had purple in the middle.

The 2nd pile all the sawdust was deep red burgundy color and as you can see also straight solid red in the middle has a very strong scent can't pin point it.

They both look like cedar to me. The heartwood is purple when it’s still green and fades to a brown red as the log dries out. The smell will also fade with the color
Wow I believe it cause they both have a cedar smell. It was similar. The purple center tree looked like it had just recently uprooted it makes sense why the branches didn't just want to snap off had to twist some of them. And other was a log could have been down a lot longer and more seasoned. Thank you 🙏🔥
