Saw this setup along side the road just south of Ft. Drum N.Y.

Someone told me he is getting some of his wood for free, from all the construction/clearing going on on Fort Drum and the surrounding area. He got into the right business at the right time. Price of wood has come up a little, but I still see it advertised for $40/face cord delivered. Around here it's sold by the face cord at 16" lengths.

He told me that he figured that he could deliver firewood to California via rail for $130 a cord. I thought that might be a bit low, now I wonder if he meant a face cord.

I could have use for that set up.....
