I have an echo cs370 where the plastic is extremely sunfaded on the top and rear handle. Normally on plastic i'd just use a paint thinner/boiled linseed mix to restore but this thing looks like it is shedding tiny fibers, not by the handfulls but when looked at in the sun, you can see little hairs everywhere like fiberglass and my skin gets a little itchy. I thought this was just a plastic body, not frp.

I'm rebuilding the carb and would like to fix the fading/shedding while I'm at it. I can spray on a UV acrylic for the shedding so no biggie there, but how would I go about taking care of the shedding on something like this? Any ideas?

Thanks guys. I've done A LOT of searching but haven't found anything yet. Maybe I don't know where to look.

295Tramp did a nice thread on plastic restoration. Search and you will likely find it helpful.
