Are you sure about that? The choke switch looks like the old 066 flattie style to me.
It’s an 064 tank or super early 066. It’s a non see through tank

064’s didn’t have all have a red light. Also an ms660 never had a non see through tank.
No it says 066 or 990 depending which pic you are looking at.
The 064 and early short case 066 will have 113mm center to center on the two outermost screws that holds the airbox to the tank or 114mm inside to inside the airbox at the baseline where the screws mount it to the tank.
Now you guys know why I hate to put 066s together from parts. BTW I am the guy that wrote 066 on the part. Mike

064 and 066 used the carb box yes only 066 used the redlight
It just wasnt knocked out on 064
Some 066 used the bigger tanks called short cased poly flywheels and had bubble top top plastic and a bigger recoil housing that had stihl written in the side
