It also sounds like he was trying to help out his brother (he needed a first vehicle). issaccarlson sounds like a real good person to me. He has posted some really good stuff that I will definitely use. Most of the other members here have BAD language, pics, etc... This kid has not said ONE bad word! He has not posted ONE bad picture!!!!!!!!!! He has not gotten mad at those chewing his butt. Looks to me like the members on ArboristSite need to grow up. I don't blame him if he leaves.
Im sure deep down issaccarlson is a great guy.I dont know him personally, just what ive gleamed from around here, but the truth of the matter is you are dead wrong about the rest of the members around here.Since you are new here, I will fill you in on a project that you can read about right here

In short, members across the country are paying money out of their own pocket to ship a helmet to each other to sign, and the helmet will be then raffled off and all of the proceeds given to a member or a charity that could use the extra help. Each and every member who wants to participate will have a voice in who the proceeds go to.This is being done out of the kindness of their hearts, the willingness to help those less fortunate, and a desire to help our brothers and sisters that could not only use a little financial help but a token of our companionship and comraderie.
As far as the bashing goes,a great deal of it was done in humor,at least on my part.I was flabergasted that a member would ask for help in fixing a luxury item, not an essential tool that is necessary in day to day life.If he had asked for some help in getting his electric bill paid, some help in getting his wood in for the year,or food on the table it would have been a totally different response.
I myself havent been here long, but in the few short years that I have been here I have seen members call out for help when they saw someone in need, and the response was overwhelming.Saws where donated for raffle for a member who was injured on the job, funds collected for medical bills, and thougts and prayers sent out from all over the globe when a member lost his best friend and wife to an illness. You will not find a better class of people anywhere than what you will find right here.
In closing,I offer this tidbit of advise. For your first post, you might try introducing yourself rather than bashing members as a whole. Members here are a fickle bunch, and it takes time to get to not only know how they operate, but also how humor tends to run around here.Sometimes it seems kind of cold, especially if you dont know a member real well, but I invite you to pull up a chair, do some reading, ask a few questions, tell us about yourself, and above all else realize that mere text tells very little about someone until you get to know them a little better.
