gall on my new Yoshino?

Hi guys,

Planted a new yoshino cherry Monday night. Checking on things today I noticed this:

Is this a gall or something? I don't see any other problems with the tree. No holes in the trunk (which I'm told is a common sign of infestation with Yoshinos), no other galls, etc.

Any thoughts?

Nevermind. Tent Catepilar egg mass. I found this:
