GB Bar goodness!

I finally have a saw to go with a 36" GB pro top bar that I bought last year. I had a employee of mine who's son works at a machine shop mill the bar slot for me.

It cost me a 12 pack of bud light, pretty cheap if you ask me!

Here is a picture of my big saw with what I call the "knuckle head father in law bar" !

The old knuckle head would have a hard time grounding it! LOL From the dogs to the tip, it is just over 10".

Yuppers! I've been growning my stash of GB bars. They are starting to get a wee bit pricey...

If you can find them anywhere. The stihl dealer at home carried some at reasonable prices but says he can't get any now. I think tsumura bars are a little better and have been cheaper.

I can't find tsumura bars local to me and baileys doesn't sell them. I would like to get my hands on one to try out though! The main reason why I am such a big fan of GB bars are that they were cheaper then oregon bars, till they were discontinued. And that they are much more harder & longer lasting then oregon bars. I've got some carlton oregon clone bars made in germany. Those bars are great! They are the bars that oregon should be building here in the usa!

I wish I could find tsumura in stihl mount. I think spike sells the total branded tsumura bars. I know the co-op that sells jonsered carries them in .050" and .058".
