Does one have to remove the front cover to get to the gas and oil filter on a Stihl 015. Does this normally mean a new gasket will need to be installed?

Take the starter cover off, follow the fuel line to the grommet, the fuel line, grommet and filter are all one assembly and are serviced by pulling the grommet out of the tank. Filters are no longer available new but there are ways to improvise a useable substitiute.
