figgered this is as good a place as any on splitter opinions. My pappy-in-law was at a Home Depot, and they were wheeling out a Cub Cadet splitter. Somebody had used it and it developed a hydraulic leak, so he returned it. They fixed the leak and were selling as refurbished... $1,600 splitter for $700. He couldn't pass it up, so he bought it.

Here are some specs Cub Cadet, 27 ton. Splits vertical and horizontal. 160 cc Honda OHC Engine. 3 gal. hydraulic tank. 16" wheels. 2" ball hitch and jackstand. They are honoring the 2 yr warranty.


So what say y'all ? Is this a worthy piece of equipment (at least for the $700). I need some feedback. Thx.
