I took Friday off work, mowed grass in the morning, and then went and cut wood all afternoon. This is one whole tree in the bed of my truck.

After all the work of cutting and loading it, by the time you get home your too tired to unload it. If ya have kids, that what they are for, aren't they?
There's always Saturday morning. Trailers are a good idea, load it up today and unload it next week...

You did real good, Tanker. What kind of tree is it?

It was an ash in the local bankers yard and had a backwards lean.I tied the tractor and 100' of cable onto it and put slight tension on it,cut my notch and startedmy backcut and wedged it over.A bunch of neighbors watching and it went perfect(usualy goes perfect when I'm in the woods or fencerow but you have to wonder with an audience)3 1/2 hours dropped, bucked, split loaded and the mess cleaned up.I did'nt think this was too bad for 47 years old on a hot day

Nice days work. And by the way I'm 48 and I refuse to get old or grow up.

Nice looking load of ash! I look at like this. I could pay for a membership too the gym and work out, or......get paid and do wood. No pool though:( but the river close by.

PS: 47 is still in the youngster stages. I'm 53 and still feel pretty good most days with the exception that my recovery time is a bit longer than it used too be.

Very nice... I'm sure you'll really appreciate the hard work when the winter arrives. I know one guy who hates to dismantle his stacks, hes so proud of them.

Cheers

Just when you think you have enough wood you see the work of people like stihl sawing and Qsky and realize you have a long way to go.

Going out to the garage to sharpen my chains.....(sigh)
