Newbie here,,,

Thanks for the help,, in reading your posts I was able to grab an HD 6401 for $195.00..The saw is, as you all have said Very Strong, and I want to keep the 20" bar... I deal with some big mature Pecan trees, and want to know if I should get a bigger bar for the 50" plus rounds, switching out as I need to.. The local guy cuts most of them, then I pick them up from him. Saves him labor, free for me.. I use my splitter to split then sell them.So far its paid for my 28 Huskee,, and the 6401, plus more this season alone. I do plan to BB the Kita,, not not sure about the bar size.

Thanks in advance.

I've had a 28" on my 6400 a couple of times and it handled it FAR better than I would have thought.
You will want a long bar if you decide to upgrade the top end, so I say go for it!!!
Try the 6401 with the long bar before you upgrade, you may find that the upgrade isn't as much of a priority as you think.
Just remember that it is a saw and not an axe!
