Help, please - Husky 356BT carb removal

If you know the secret, please share the steps involved in removing the carb from a Husqvarna 356BT backpack blower. More specifically, how does one disconnect the choke rod without breaking the plastic lever it connects to? In the pic you can see the choke rod coming in from the left and attaching behind the carb. As best I can tell, the carb is supposed to slide out of the air box, but I don't see that happening until/unless the choke is disconnected. I haven't had any luck tracking down a video or shop manual to get a clue. Thanks!
