help!! walnut trees have sprouted how do i get rid of them!!!

i have just bought a new house and there is a walnut tree planted in the back yard. the squirrels have burried these nuts and they have started sprouting!! do i have to dig them up nut and all... or can i just mow over them and they'll die??? there are like 40 of these things growing right behind my house now.

Why not dig 'em up, pot them and sell them? Great gifts as stated ^^^, yes they'll expire with mowing. Wish we had more around here, mmmmmmmm walnut pie and cinnimon rolls, yum!
