Hey y’all,

Still very new to working in chainsaws and been thinking about starting to collecting old saws as a hobby. Local ad has a running 900G for 180. Is that saw worth it? How desirable is the 900G?

Just my observations, but it seems the gear drive saws are not as sought after as the direct drives. But they still have a following. It would have to be in good shape for me to pay $180 for it. Someone else who collects might pay double that for it.

Thats a good size saw and the Homelite's are known for big torque! That would be a great saw for restoration. Not a bad price depending on the piston and cylinder condition.
