Homelite wiz and HOmelite zip

Will a Homelite Wiz recoil work on a Homelite zip. I think the only difference was the wiz was a gear drive and the zip wasn't. Anybody know If the recoils are interchangeable? Thanks.

I don't own either of these, nor do I have IPLs, but I do believe I remember seeing in a repair manual that these old saws with gear drive crank in reverse from the direct drive saws. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this for saws like the 9-23/9-26. I would suspect the same applies to zips and wizs, but again, better to get an answer from someone who either has the saws or access to both IPLs.

i happen to have the ipl's for both saws will look it up later and reply back to if its the same part or not
