Thanks for the useful info......very quick indeed your reply.
What I really need though is the carb settings straight from scratch.... right from the point where the high & low setting screws are both at zero. I need to know how many clockwise and anticlockwise turns each screw needs to be at.
Do you think something's on hand ?

Initial adjustment for an XL is 1 turn open from zero for both hi & lo mixture screws
