I looked up your part and $60 is not cheap. That is worth more than the saw itself. Honestly I never knew that older Homelite's had primers. At least all the XL's I have worked on never had them. After Textron bought them out Homelite's quality started to decrease year by year. The pre 70s blue saws were built like tanks. No plastic parts on them. If I was you and had no emotional attachment to that saw I would sell it as a part's saw on Ebay. Probably your best bet if it does not run because of that primer cap. :msp_unsure:
