I had a nice running homelite z3850b chainsaw. Even for 38cc it was still strong. I loaned it to my friend who just happened to run it literally to death. I don't know what happened but the piston ring is in 3 pieces along with the piston and the rod is practically frozen to the crank. The cylinder made it through and has no scoring. I am just asking if anyone would have a used saw like this or the parts i need. I can still get them from my dealer but they are a bit pricy.

These are considered throwaway saws. when they break, you simply buy another. in your case, just toss it and buy a new one. they're fairly cheap on ebay, and likely they're only like $130 at home depot or lowes, or wherever.
