HotBlast Newbie

This is my first time on the forum and I am looking forward to milking you of all your knowledge.
Well, maybe enough to keep from burning my house down. I have recently installed a HotBlast 1557M add on furnace to my house. I have seen many opinions on dampening, whether with the ash pan door or the load door damper. Which is better? Is it possible to maybe use both?

you can draft with both, the fill door auto and the ash pan door! along with the flue damper usually ran at least a foot above the top of the stove/furnace.... the flue damper is an add on which the comp. pamphlet probably wont tell you anything about it's use!????

Do a search for Hotblast and you will find some of they adjustments some of us have made to ours. I have an owb now but used a Hotblast for years and still have it as backup.
