My dog went crazy in the back yard today and I went out to see what was going on. I was soon to discover something that made me VERY unhappy.
My neighbor had hired some guys to "trim" my tree. In Nevada, by law he can trim any of my tree that is over the fence line. I have no problem with that. But when I went outside, the trimmers had cut some large branches a good 3-4 feet of my side of the property line.
What I'm concerned about is some damage that was done to a main branch. I've attached some pictures below and would appreciate any advice. I plan to hire an arborist once I speak with the neighbor and get him to agree to pay the cost since his trimmers violated the law by egressing onto my property and trimming branches they had no business trimming (nor are legally allowed).
