Husky 254SE

got me a 254 that I put a new Husky piston in and had the jug cleaned up. I was thinking of modding this saw a bit. I already cleaned up the muff inside a bit and opened up that plastic intake elbow. Is it worth modding anything else? i was thinking about maybe lowering the squish? This would be my first saw that i have modded!

The 254 responds well to mods. Getting more compression and modding the muffler are good first steps.

Loctite 515 for no base gasket is what I heard to use?

I prefer Yamabond. I've never used Loctite 515, maybe some others have and can weigh in on that.

515 works great with the use of the primer

Actually I use Threebond 1124. I had been looking up Yama that day had it on my mind (what's left of it).
