Husky 570 mod

I have a husky 570 and am considering modding it instead of buying a new one. Is it worth it on that saw? I have been reading about it on here and think that I can do it myself, I’m used to working on big diesels but I think I can handle it. Should I just mod the muffler or port it also? I have never tuned a saw before is there a specific forum to look for when tuning it. Thanks

I believe the consensus has been that porting the strato saws generally delivers less gain than non-strato saws. They just don't "wake up" as much.

However someone had a 576xp ported, I think it was bookerdog, and was very happy with it.

The 441 has been modded with good success as well. I did a little Ryobi and got good gains. I haven't met a saw yet that didn't see significant gains from porting.
