Hi,
Since the last post I've ordered a piston ring for this. Should I do anything to the cylinder prior to fitting?the piston is clean with no scoring however there are no maching marks on either the inlet or exhaust port so I guess it's a bit worn?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

If you rub your fingers over the inside walls of the cylinder and feel no elevations or nicks, you should be good. Make sure cyl is totally clean. Apply a light coat of oil on cyl walls and piston/ring area.

Oil it up good during assembly, run your first tank of mix oil rich.
