Hi all, first real contribution here (if you could even call it that). It's not much but you may get at least a good chuckle. As I couldn't find any existing thread on the subject, figured I'd start a new one.
One of the rubber bumpers on my 1998 350 that I'm rebuilding got beat to pieces, (part number 503869201 movement limiter for reference) and I decided I was too cheap/didn't want to wait the shipping time for a new one. Soooo I repurposed a chunk of sole from a worn out combat boot. Never throw anything away, right? you can see in the picture an oem one next to my 15 min special "improvement from alternative materials," and the missing chunk of boot. Haha! She ain't pretty, but it oughta do the trick. We'll See. Enjoy!
