Sold Husqvarna 357xp Project

Picked this saw up at the local shop, it has a blown top end, I think it is from a plastic intake clamp, the brake handle is broken. I have a new OEM 357xp kit that I could let go with it for $125.00. I think this would be a simple rebuild for someone looking for a project. Taking offers on just the saw or with the new P&C.

Would you part with the carb intake and filter? My 346 says she wants it. So I had to ask.

I'm interested depending on the year built. The first year or so the width of the part on the connecting rod that slips into the piston was 12 mm. Replacement pistons are NLA. later 357's have a rod with of 15 mm width and those kits are available. Cann you check your serial number for build date. I have the serial # change date somewhere but need to find it.

Ok. Believe it's the older model crank with a 13 mm width. Newer ones were 15 mm in width. Consequently diff. Piston part numbers. 2001 part is 503920471 whereas later Pistons were part # 537219602. Same for cylinder piston kits. 2001 wereb503919871 and later were 503289014.
