I have a 61 on my bench that was in the same condition as yours. It had some lean scoring and sat for decades. I cleaned up the cylinder and replaced the piston. The bottom end was in great shape so I gave it what I call a "rubber rebuild"- new carb kit, fuel line, seals, o-rings and gaskets. I am waiting on the intake gasket before I can fire it up.

I think you ordered the sealing collar which is part 501 51 20-01 in diagram D in this IPL: http://www.husqvarnaparts.nl/parts/HUSI1983_AAaa_I8300013_.pdf The sealing collar shouldn't affect performance. BTW the IPL is for your saw too.

Did you replace the fuel lines? If the saw was stored with fuel that contained ethanol the fuel line is trashed for sure. The line on the 61 I am working on was collapsed and sticky from witting in fuel. That may explain the problems you are having. The condition of the fuel line makes a difference.
