Hey all, I'm new here.
Recently got a husqvarna 55 that's only a few years old. The guy a got it from said the cylinder/piston are scored up pretty bad and it was running like junk. I'm thinking of just doing an ebay special and replacing the cylinder/piston/rings and all that.
Wondering:
1. Is this the easiest way of going about fixing this?
2. If so, is there any aftermarket kits for doing this that are reasonable $$$ ?
3. Any advice on what to look out for when doing this is good. Tips to make it run better, or just general rebuild info would be helpful.
I have experience with auto engines, just not chainsaws.
Thanks,
Andrew
EDIT: My apologies, not sure if I put this thread in the right place. I didn't see a "Tech" section. I guess it would go under "chainsaws" if a moderator wants to move the thread.
