Poor mans gun range. Primarily for my pistol. I decided to use some cookies I had laying around from a log. It's experimental but I plan on using some thicker hard wood as opposed to the pine pictured. I just cut cardboard or paper plates to it.

If I want smaller,I use a smaller tree. I found an old piece of rebar laying around. It was probably 10 ft long. Found two trees close together and used them to bend the rebar in a shape that is pretty self supporting. Drilled holes in the cookie and use clothesline wire to wrap the cookies around it. They also make great levelers for the stand bases.

The 4 white targets are AR500 but I can't afford a bunch of it. The cookies are the two on the right.

Dont forget to pull the shroud off the splitter and clear out all of the wood dust/chips before you run her .................... :potstir:

Hmmm, seems kind of wasteful to me. Those are nice firestarters or, as I like to use them, great for chimnea burns. Personally I use plywood scraps form my targets, they really stand-up to repeated shots unless its the 12 gauge. I have shot at cookies and they are pretty much done after a shot or two from my experiences. Sounds like you are one of the few who have some ammo and are willing to enjoy it. Have fun either way.
