Dear List members especially in the U.S.A.

Here is a recent insect threat which has been reported here in
Michigan. Please read the attached documents. Please be aware of the type
of artificial trees involved in the recall and if they might be in your
local market. We don't need another Emerald Ash Borer, or Asian Longhorned
Beetle problem attacking trees.

Thanks,

Frank

Robin,
Jerry Wheeler from our local USDA office sent me some photos of an insect
that has recently been identified in artificial Christmas Trees. The
"fake" trees are mounted to a natural wooden trunk and being recalled as
the pest could threaten native species just like EAB. Will you please
circulate it on to your list in case others get questions from homeowners?

Thanks,
Rebecca
