ok so I do have time to waste (trying to find a job at the mo) - tried to politely tell him real cc of them, and the prices were to high. He says
no. the 056 av is 89 cc and the 051 is 91cc equals to ms660. the 051 has 36 inches bar with chain and i am sure it can take bigger bar up to 42 orogan bar.

Hey, I know all of you have forgotten more about saws than I'm likely to ever know.

Can one of you pros help me out? I feel kind of silly even asking, and I hope you won't make fun of me, but I gotta know...

What's an orogan bar?

Is that like that paper folding stuff that the japanese do?

Or is it a place to get a drink?

:D

Well I'm always surprised at what stuff sells for on ebay so you never know, someone might buy them. I list all the saws that get left at our shop on there. Its kind of funny the good saws usually don't bring what I think they are worth, but the low end stuff will bring what they sell for new (and sometimes higher) sometimes.

Harry's back!
How was Australia? Sorry, off topic already!

eBay's most wanted list:-
Dolmar CT - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270296157834

Now that is a real saw! 118cc and 8 Horses to play with!
I bought one a month ago and it cost me £325, this one will probably go for somthing similar.
LOL, thanks for the welcome back Dibbs. Australia was awesome - lots of wood cutting and old truck restos ('81 landcruiser and '43 chev).
My ebay watch list is back on the 3 page mark - and includes that CT. Not that I'm seriously considering it. So it's a new addition for you, man it looks like a real saw. How does it stack up against an 070 (assuming it's not in the same league as the 090?)?
Looking for a job right now so the Chainsaw Acquisition can recommence! Feel like parting with that 038 yet...?

Good looking saws. I can say I'm guilty of running a 42" on my 051:monkey: . But that's a real rarity. Doesn't happen often and it cuts as fast as paint dries. But there ain't no way on God's earth I'd pay that much. :greenchainsaw:

Some people are just proud of their stuff. I was on craig's list not to long ago and some guy had a Husky 272 on there for 800.00, I about chocked.

Too late, too late, shall be the cry, the 038 has passed you by! - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330266836426
and the 338XPT has gone too!

I have added an 07 and an 07S to the stable as well as the CT.

Due to the fact my wife gave birth to a lovely little baby girl two weeks ago noisy chainsaws have been put on hold, so, I don't know how it stacks up to an 070 or 090 yet, but at 8hp it should be in the 090 league.
