I started my 6048 Cenral Boiler this Sunday.

Here a couple of pictures I took.

I hope I have enough wood.

And I hope my pad is large enough. :greenchainsaw:

Sorry, I :dizzy: can't seem to figure out the picture thing. Can anyone guide me? Or I can email them to one of you experts and you can post them?

1. Put pic on Desktop (or wherever)
2. Hit "Manage Attachments" tab at bottom of reply page
3. Hit browse
4. Click on your pic, upload.

I did as you instructed but is failed.

I think the size of my picture is too big? I am not sure how to re-size it.

I have some really good photos,,,you wood nuts will love em!

Hi

Hit reply.
window opens to type in.
Find the browse button.
when it opens, go find your picture.
Attach it
upload it.
and hit submit reply.

Sometimes, I leave my pics on my disk , so I would go there
and find the right number picture I wanted.
I use a photo editer and usually crop my pictures before I
save them back on the disk.
Sometimes I stick them in my documents folder, and then
have to go browse there for them.
Yes they like to see pics in this forum :)

How's everything going, LTD?...boiler running ok now?

as far as pics,I had to resize them w/Microsoft Paint, but could do with Kodak Easyshare/other programs

Yes our OWB is working :biggrinbounce2:

Had our friend who did the wiring back up, and he had to put a switch on the old furnace on the inside. Dang thing, was back feeding. We had a sauna in here for awhile.......

I think I figured out how to resize my pictures.
Let me try this again.

This is me trenching and laying in my pipe. I wrapped it in 2 1/2 insulation to eliminate heat loss. Overkill I know.

This is a close up of how I wrapped the pipe

The other pic is my pad,,again overkill it's 17x35

This is the pic of them delivering the stove
The second is pouring the pad
the third is setting the stove with the excavator.
The fourth is the pipe through my foundation wall

This first pic is the heat exchanger set up.

2nd pic-- Now,thats a fire!!

The third pic is all my hard work stacked up!

The 4th pic is my steel wire in the pad

LAH, that is the master plan,,,,I am going to put a nice roof over it and then close in the sides.

You did good with the furance setup :)
Good job on the pictures btw !

How far is the furnace from the building/s you are heating ?

Almost afraid to ask how much your pad cost ?
We bought a prebuilt one for $ 225 for our OWB.

You don't play around!

The size of the pad is crazy (I love it!)

The heat exchanger installation is second to none!

How many square feet are you heating?
What brand and how many plates is your HX? (I like the mounting studs)

My house is approx 3360 sq feet
It is 100 feet from the house...Well, it is actually 96 feet from the house.
I bought 100' of pex. Three feet out at the pad and 12" in on the foundation.

The mounting plate was not large enough so I cut it and custom welded it to fit the larger heat exchanger. Not sure how many plates but I can tell you it was $700.00 :jawdrop:

My form stock was $500,the pad was 11 yards of concrete at $100 per yard.
My wife and her father finish concete as a side biz, so I got the labor for free.:greenchainsaw:

The blue insulation for the pipe was almost $500.00 :dizzy:

How do the pictures just come up on thread. The ones I posted, you have to click on.

Dave - Here is an old post that kind of explains that, you attach it, then view it, cut and paste the image url via the Insert Image (yellow mountain) icon.

Your setup, and pad, is awesome, great job, and welcome to AS.

I can even insert your images into my post by clicking on one of your images, copying the url in the browser address bar, then clicking on the insert image icon, and paste the url into the image url box that pops up and press OK.

You might have resized them a little to much, 640x480, 800x600 are pretty good sizes to use.

I have slab envy. I made mine 12' x 24' and caught heat over it. I also plan on putting up a building over it for wood storage somewhere down the road. I had not put on the last form board in this photo or placed the rebar. Notice the stone wall I built on the right. Some of those stones at the very bottom were 2'x3'x3'. Concrete is now done. OWB is supposed to be in next week.
