j-red 670 carb issues.

I just got a jonsered 670, previous guy said it won't run right, and something is wrong with the high needle.

took it all apart, the high needle is just sitting in it's place, not screwed in. easy fix, right? not so much when the threads are stripped in the carb.

I'm trying to find a replacement carb, currently has a HS-230C (tougher to find than you'd think). does anyone know which other carbs will work on this saw?

i cant remember what portion of the serial number depicts the year. serial number 8110463

i talked to my local jonsered dealer, and the carb is not longer available from either j-red or tillotson. I guess the hs-230C was changed to HS-230D, but they stopped manufacturing them in 2012.

Anyone have either one of those carbs they want to sell, or know of another carb that would work on this saw?
