jd/efco cs56/156

recently bought a nos jd cs56 (2007)used it for the 1st time today wow it was way better than I thought felt stronger than my 2159 not quite as fast as the357xp but I paid only $275 for It not in the same league as my modded 962 going to port the s**t out of it and put on a 357xp carb and have some fun(40" at the stump red oak)

Buddy of mine has a cs 52 and it seems to be a good runner. We have opened up the muffler and re tuned..............he loves to run it for the smaller stuff.

I was extremely impressed with my 156 Efco. You got a lot of saw for $275. Is your JD saw a quad port? You can see them thru the spark plug hole.

yeah its a quad port I also just got a efco/Olympic 980 that I am going to hotrod and see if itll run with my 288xp (bty looking for a efco/oleo-mac/olympic999)

They are excellent saws, great buy! Like I said a couple weeks ago, that model is discontinued this year, so get one now if you want one. I just stocked up for my store- they are one of my most popular saws and folks love them.
