There are a few of us here that like Jonsered chain saws. I own a 621, and while I acknowledge it is heavier than some more modern saws, it seems to be a willing worker.
56cc with an 8-tooth sprocket, running 3/8 full chisel on a 20" bar...a guy would think the saw would be pretty wimpy, but it really isn't. Seems to pull hard at a little lower rpm than some other Jonsered saws of the same general era...there's a big diff between this saw and the 535, for example, that isn't fully explained by the measly 7 cc's diff.
621 is a quite good firewood saw, able to handle about anything around. The downside of the 621 is that it has been discontinued for long enough now that a few service parts are getting tough to find. I'd not let that stop you unless the saw is in almost perfect shape...to nice to use. With reasonable care it should last a casual user forever.

Specs out as so:
56cc/3.4 c.u. in.
45mm bore
35mm stroke
hope this helps.
I used my neighbors saw this winter to cut up a limb that came down in a ice storm. The limb was about 12 inches and walnut. The old saw went through it like a hot knife through butter. I asked him what it was since all the markings were worn off. He said it was a Jonsered 621. I thought it was a hell of a cutter if a bit on the stout side. I found one on ebay and bought it for $26. It took a long time to get here and I emailed the guy, so he threw in another one as a parts saw to make amends. Saw started right up, but as he said in the ad, it had a hesitation when at full power. Took it to my saw guy and now it's great. Not bad for a $26 dollar investment. JR
I also just bought a Jonsered 621 at a garage sale. Does anyone have a bucking spike that they would be willing to sell for this saw? Thanks.

Sawtroll--I'm going to get a new chain today without all the anti-kickback bars on it and give it a try without the spike. Thanks for the info.
