I know some of you split cases all the time, but It’s been a long, long time since I’ve done one. This Jonsered 670W is a 1997, towards the end of the model run, so I thought it was worth saving.
The carcass was filthy, broken flywheel, rough bearings, lots of chain rash. After cleanup and prep I used automotive “high fill” red primer to fill the scratches then found a red enamel which was almost a perfect match. New bearings and gasket, a little heating and freezing, and it’s back together. Once I find some plastic it will be a saw again!
