I must be. I went out tonight when I got off early from work and cut just shy of 4 cords of mostly Doug Fir before it got too dark. I had two helpers and I had my 575, 7900, and don't laugh, MS 290 all ready before hand. I did most of the cutting and all of this wood was piled up and most of it was 30' long. A lot of it was kind of on the small side (8"=10"), but that is about all the production I can get out of my group of guys. Roughly 4 cords in a little over 5 hours. So the question is are we all just really pathetic excuses for wood cutters? Are we doing something that is incredibly inefficient and that is slowing us down? Or are all the people that say they went out and cut 10 cords on a Saturday full of crap. I know this, if I had been by myself I probably would have only gotten 1 cord, if that cut and loaded. And it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun as cutting with the guys.
