I searched and din't find what I was looking for. Is the leyland cypress ANY good at all for use as firewood? I know that is a "soft" wood and not as good as a seasoned hardwood, but is it "burnable"?

Thanks
Rusty

Leyland Cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandii) is a man-made cross between Alaska Cedar and Monterey Cypress. It is a VERY fast growing hybrid that has many cultural problems. For firewood, the worst pine is better. It is a very dirty burner, w/ a low BTU content. Great for a starter, like pine cones!
