LOL... Husky 435 Muffler mod

I'm getting a few saws ready to go up to the cabin and play woodchuck for a few days. I wanted to pep up the little 435 with a MM so I bought a muffler to play with first. I opened the box and looked into the muffler and there's no baffle in it. I took off the muffler from the saw and lo and behold...... no baffle there either. Just a clear shot right through.....Too funny.

port match the muffler to the gasket and the cylinder port size, I find they are 1mm-3mm under sized on every saw I have touched regardless of brand

All I could do was open up the exhaust.

I bet it'll run with the 346 now...... Might even give the 572 a run for it's money....LOL

I looked and no gains there. The muffler port is actually slightly larger than the gasket and the gasket perfectly matches the cylinder exhaust port.

I bought mine new and although it has been very reliable it's not a powerful saw - I doubt there's much benefit in trying to hot it up.

I'm not expecting much but when cutting at 9500ft every little bit helps.
