To save confusion and questions at the dealer I thought I would go in prepared. My 99' 036 PRO drum bearing finally went, I've seen several posts on here about R+R the stock drum and bearing with the newer 036 drum and bearing, now I dont know if my saw would have the newer drum/bearing but here is the PN off my drum: 1125 160 2900 If this is the old style could someone please give me the PN I need to upgrade to the newer one?

Thank You, T Berry

That's the old drum .

The part number on the drum isn't valid for ordering. You need a Drum "kit" which includes the rim and circlip. for 3/8ths, the part number si 1125 007 1041.

You also need a new larger bearing. Early kits came with the bearing but I don't think they do now. 9512 933 2380.

Lakeside53, Now you got my wheels turning, I run 325x8 rim, will this fit the larger drum or do I need to convert evrything to run 3/8 chain if I go this route?

PN 1125 007 1003 is 9 tooth 325... (no 8 now in kit form). The only difference between the 3/8 kit and the .325 kit is the rim. The drum and bearing are the same.

Are you actually saying that they have discontinued the small spline drums needed for .325x8, or am i reading you wrong?

The thread was about the use of the later (since 2000) large drum bearing /spine in the 034/36.

For the large bearing (same as 044), it's not available in small spline.

It's still available for a the small bearing using the old kit part numbers for the 7 and 8 tooth .325 rim.
