Meteor piston : will it work

I have been looking at meteor pistons for a ms 362 they give the Stihl # as 1140 030 2002 That # piston from Stihl list for $32.99 and fits a ms 311 The Stihl # for a 362 is 1140 030 2017
and sells for 83.49 are the pistons the same as a 311 and the difference in price is the upgraded bearing? The bearing and pin come with the $83.49 piston, I guess I need to call Stihl Monday lol

Stihl’s numbers say they are different but I don’t think they are? The 362 piston part number is 1140 030 2017 the 311 piston part number is 1140 030 2002 there is also 1140 030 2009 piston that people are selling on eBay saying it fits both. Do you have a m tronic?

I just put a 2002 piston in one and it is fine. Non M-tronic. I think they just want to charge more for the pro saw version.

They are both pro saws I know that the updated bearing and pin is included in the high dollar piston , The bearing and pin is $35 if bought separate

Oh lol thought you were talking about the 311 being a pro saw I would get the 2017 piston tho and I can get it for cheaper if you want to pm me about prices

I am a Stihl tech here In VA I bet I can get them a little cheaper too lol I am going to talk to Ace at Stihl and get the skinny on the pistons first. He is up the ladder a few runs with Stihl and I have know him for years
