Modifying a 391

Are there any ways to modify a MS 391? I currently have a 170, and a 391 and my next saw is going to be a 462 or a 500. But was wondering if anything could be done to make the 391 more powerful?

You could probably do a muffler mod.

Big bore kit?! Bigger carb, better air filter,a less restrictive exhaust; porting is not easy to do and it should be done by an experienced individual! If all mentioned above don't satisfyi you, only solution is a bigger chainsaw! 395 xp at least!
I have a similar chainsaw to ms391 , a makita Ea6100p 61cc vs 64.1cc yours) and at 4.6 hp is good enough , for now in fact I almost cut my left leg in a moment of not paying enough attention...
And was thinking about an Echo CS-1201 wich doesn't have a safety automatic brake(wich in fact saved my leg...took me "awhile" to let go of throttle in those fractions of seconds...without a chain brake, anything is possible)...
So, big bore kit or a much bigger chainsaw
