MS 261c adjustment

Guys have a question, if I do a muffler mod on my MS 261C-M, will the carburetor automatically richen up the mixture, since there are no adjustments on it??

If so, will the electronic carb adjust for all modifications, including porting??

I did a muffler Mod on my 044 and got fantastic results, I am hoping for the same with the 261.

I assume it will, as it does on the Husky AT saws - and M-thronic is the early version of the AT.

If I was going to mod a mtronic I would reset the mtronic post mods.....

I just did 5 long cuts with mine after muffler mod. You could feel the saw learn and it was fine.

It isn't just word of mouth, but I don't have any proof I can post. It is common knowledge anyway, and have been for a while.

It is of course business secrets, that aren't open to the public - so that hardly is surpricing.

Seems like a poor "business" decision as the M-tronic appears more reliable than the AT.

Never been a problem with AT its been problems with the junk Zama carbs......and who manufactures Zama? Thats right Steal does.

Not a single failure of the AT has been documented from the start nearly a decade ago - it just gets the blame by uninformed people when an occational carb fails, or when the operator makes errors.
