Hi all,
I am having an issue with my MS 270. When I start up the saw and cut for about 20 minutes everything
works great. After that, every time I come out of the cut it stays high idle for a few minutes.this happened
this fall while cutting in 70 degree temps. Finally getting around to asking for thoughts on a fix. Thanks
for any help. Tom

Well, could be that the throttle linkage is sticking. Sometimes the pin that holds the trigger in the handle gets rusty. Look at it and make sure the the butterfly shaft is going all the way back against the idle stop.

Could also be an air leak. Crack in manifold or impulse line . Even a crank seal.

Could be the crankcase sealer having an air leak once it warms up-but fine when unit cold
may have to take cylinder off and reseal it.
