Seems like a lot o work for a small prize...how big is a squirrel brain ?

Pretty small - probably ~3/4" or so. It's really not any worse than eating crab legs. When you fry them it makes the skull brittle - you just bite into it to crack it open and get the brains out. Sort of like a squirrel eating a nut....
