Dad had a neighbor give this one to him. Said he couldnt keep the pull cord in it, and it had quit oiling.
Dad fixed the oiler issue with a new pump. Little chintzy gear had stripped out.
Recoil starter issue seems to be more with timing than the actual chintzy plastic recoil system. Seems to be kicking back and breaking the starter dog. I havent looked at it personally, but he says the flywheel key is intact.
Anybody had trouble with this?
If this is what replaced the 029, I'm really disapointed in what Stihl did. The 029s were good machines.
This thing is heavy for the power it doesnt seem to have, and for the amount of cheap plastic.
