Has anyone yet to have seen one .. perhaps a wrap that will fit this saw?

Thanks, Dan.

They are shipping but in extremely low quantities. @DND 9000 is that PN the conversion kit (dawgs, roller, sprocket cover, handle), or just the handle?

I'm on the list to receive one at my favorite dealer. They are putting in quantity for orders but just not getting any but 1. I elected to not get the full wrap so he put in a order for that model. That might cause a delay as they are shipping the full wraps to the western states. He did get a price for me for the MS500i with the 36” light bar, flush mount handle bar in 3/8” X .050” full skip chain will run $ 1290.95 as far as we know as pricing on paper changes.

the initial shipment we saw in WA was each dealer getting 2 saws for the most part. 1 of each in select cases. Initial shipment to the state only included 5 Rs and no real ETA on more. I was also on a waitlist and just lucked into mine.

Thank you for these pics! ..

NP, I hadn’t been able to find any either!

To any that have used the 500, I'd like to ask how they like it. I'm sure there's dedicated threads?

The longest running thread I’ve seen is over at OPE. Guy got kind a dud, in that it ran super rich. He bought a second and hasn’t reported issues.

Theme seems to be great power, but a bit on the thirsty side/not as economical as hoped.

For my part, I haven’t had much time to run mine. Doesn’t even have a full tank through it yet. I’ve been out of town visiting family. I did take down a 30” cottonwood the day I brought it home. Ran great, and if things improve after break in. Life is good.

I’m not a pro, but have acreage and some big wood on it. If it was out a year ago I would have bought it instead of a 462. As it stands I’m keeping the 462, but time will tell. My other saw is a 261CM that I’m running a 20” light bar on (3/8ths, .05). 462 wears a 28 light, 32 on the 500. Full comp on the little guy, skips on the others.

No, that's good to hear none the less .. I'll look at the specs on it again. Heard they were released in CA, & may try to jump on this, certainly pleased to hear their are "R" models or kits available!

I didn’t have a chance to check fitment before I left. But I *think* the larger sprocket cover, dawgs, and roller catch are straight off the 462 R C-M. Plan on checking that later next week when I get home.

I just got the 462RCM a few weeks ago and it does have the different clutch cover, spikes and chain catcher. Great saw, it makes me smile![emoji16]

To be clear I have a 462 RCM, 500i R. At first blush the parts I mentioned looked to be identical. Agree totally different comparing R to non-R.
