Brad, nice saw, and thanks for the info, but heavy load on a 661 with a 20" bar??? IMO, I would not use a powerhead of that wt with anything less than 28".

Mike im pretty sure brad knows appropriate bar length for certain powerheads...i think it was more to accomodate the size of the wood in the video.

I'm sure you are correct. Kinda like running a ported 064 with a 20" bar, it is fast as H***, but you wish it had a bigger bar so you could see what it can really do.

Though I enjoy running noisy old MACs which usually drown out all others, I once worked next to a TL WWS 460. The combined harmonics of the two saws was actually painful despite ear muffs. Alone either was tolerable. When falling any tree that concerns me, I leave one or both ears uncovered. A long intro to I agree with Brad - quieter is sometimes better.

When i was bucking i used 22" bars on both my 181 and 298xp, all the buckers used short bars, way too much filing in a day to go any longer! That was in big wood too, giant cedar and big hemlock, always got thru it!
