I cut up a couple of nice ash trees down by the creek this spring, and left them lay for a few days until I could get them picked up. Low and behold, due to wet weather, next thing I knew it was 2 months later, the creek had been out of banks several times, and the rounds had been under water as many times. By the time I got them picked up and split, all of the ends were covered with a light coat of mud. They weren't water soaked, but I am wondering if this will slow down the drying process. Anyone ever have this experience before ? Bet I get all my wood picked up next time !!!!!!!!!
