There really isn't much you can do for the 041, except remove the spark screen. The 036 I believe has a muffler similar to, or just like the MS361. There a few different threads on here about that mod.

That 36 looks like a cute little saw! Looks like it was made by WCI for Husqvarna.
Can you take a picture of the muffler on that saw? If you open that muffler up a bit, you can achieve substantial gains on a little saw. Another AS member posted a video of a pre- and post-mod Homelite 33cc HomeDepot Special a while back. The difference was AMAZING! Here's the link:
