Hey guys, just want to show some pics of my new wood burner I snagged off CL. It took 3 weeks of hounding and I finally was able to go pickup this bad boy. The description made it sound like it was a small unit as it was referred to as a room-warmer. So I thought it would make a nice unit for my garage. Well, I get there and the thing is huge! Everything looks to be in decent shape, however, the bricks are cracked, but there is no crumbling yet. The grates are in nice shape with no warping, but it is missing the ash tray. For $50, I'm grinning big time.

So some investigation on the unit shows it is made by Wil-Burt out of Orrville, Ohio. Anybody ever see/use one before? They are more known as a coal stoker manufacturer? I plan on email them and asking for a manual.

I need some piping now and found 5 or 6 piece of triple wall piping that is in good shape, the guys told me to make an offer. So what do you guys think is a responsible offer?

Here are the pics.

Except for the blower, looks like the one that kept us from freezing to death the winter I first got married. WE might have survived but the baby was more comfortable with it running.

Thats the same stove I have in my shop. I think they were around $700 new.
I see you have the split top with 1/4" plate steel on the top for cooking, The older ones were a one piece top. You did good, it will throw out some heat. My blower needs a new motor & my grates are burnt through in one spot. If you want I can get a pic of the ash pan & dimensions. Anyone know if they are still made?

Thanks for some info! Dimensions and pics of the ash pan would be helpful, but not a big deal.

The company is still in business and has many business ventures. For heating equipment, they only do stokers now. I plan on emailing them for some information or possible a manual.

Ash pan size

OK please bear with me, I am trying to post the pictures so you dont have to click on a link. They should just be there. If I did it right the first should be of the pan, second of the top, & third of my firebox. Oh the pan is 11"Wx 27 1/4" Lx 4" D, with the ends turnned down 3/4". My stove is model 65TU.

Well only two of them showed up for me without clicking the link. Sorry they went side by side rather than from top down. I guess I maybe should have arranged them that way before I submitted. I will practice again on someone else's post sometime & good luck with that stove I think you will like it.

I got a manual from Wil-Burt. If you would like to, PM me and I will forward it to ya.

My dad and I finally installed this thing slowly over the last few days and had our first fire this evening. We have some bugs to workout, but overall it looks like it will do an excellent job. I will snag some pictures of it soon.

BTW (for locals of NEO), I got all of my pipe supply from Shetler's in the Middlefield/Mespo area on 87. They have an awesome selection of pipe and stoves and the prices are great. They also sell napoleon stoves, hearthstone and a few other stove brands. I would suggest them for any wood/coal heating needs.:mohawk:
